The selection of the 8th 3D Printing Modeling Competition (University Group), part of the 2026 Belt and Road & BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition, has successfully concluded. Our university students Wang Guangweilin and Gao Yiting stood out among numerous national teams and won the Third Prize, under the guidance of instructors Wang Ju and Wang Fangfang.
During the preparation phase, guided by the two teachers, the participating students delved into professional technologies, conducted repeated practical training, and overcame a host of technical difficulties. In the intense competition, the contestants remained calm and responded steadily, fully demonstrating solid professional competence and the spirit of craftsmanship.
As an authoritative international skill event under the BRICS framework, the BRICS Competition is supported by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other authorities, and is included in the competition catalogue of the Chinese Society of Higher Education. Focusing on 3D modeling, innovative shape design and 3D printing process debugging, the event comprehensively assesses students’ practical and innovative capabilities with fierce competition.
This award marks a remarkable achievement of the university’s in-depth integration of professional courses, skills competitions and vocational certifications, as well as fruitful progress in practical teaching reform.
